GoKnicks posted:Tough loss to start the series but way to take the next two. Lincecum 1-5 I see, he just hasn't been the same anymore. Hamels and Halladay are killing it, hopefully Lee can get back his footing. It's still early in the season though, they've got a while to go.
HapsPhilly32 posted:PHILLIES UPDATED: Just posted the series with San Francisco - blew the first game but scored a bunch of runs in the next 2 games to take the series - good start to the west coast trip! Now on to Arizona for a 4 game set. Also - check out my new section "Club History" at the top of the page - it's not totally done (still have to do Wall of Fame and All-Time Leaders - but getting there otherwise).
HapsPhilly32 posted:@ Mattchu - Thanks - I was a little frustrated to say the least after losing the first two games against the Marlins lol. They were hanging around the .500 mark for a little while but are now starting to fall back!
Mattchu12 posted:Good to see the Phillies hold their ground and take the last two of the series and force the split. Mental toughness is what gets a team through a long season and into the playoffs.
Mattchu12 posted:Rallying for the win, I love it.
HapsPhilly32 posted:@ Jakesparrow - No, I play a game, do manager mode or CPU vs CPU for a game, and then usually manage in the sportscast mode for every series - sometimes it varies depending on what teams I'm playing - for instance, a series with San Diego in April or May I will likely do more of the sportscast mode or sim them... Otherwise, I don't think I'll be able to get through a season. Even now, not sure how long it'll take me to get through 1 season, as I've just finished up April and don't get a chance to play as much as I'd like...
Jakesparrow1008 posted:Are you playing every game?
HapsPhilly32 posted:PHILLIES UPDATED: Finished up April strong - now on a 5 game win streak after a big 9th leads to a 9-3 victory against Cleveland. FYI - updated pretty much everything on the site - all of the tables, plus a bunch of feature type stuff throughout. Enjoy!
HapsPhilly32 posted:PHILLIES UPDATED: Came back from a 4-0 deficit rather quickly thanks to a big night from Ryan Howard - won 8-5, now looking to sweep the Mets on the road.
mpejkrm posted:Nevermind
mpejkrm posted:Looking good man. Tough loss for my Bucs. Mind if i use that player template in your "roster" section?
HapsPhilly32 posted:PHILLIES UPDATED: Finished a series with Pittsburgh - split the series 2-2, but had a dramatic walk-off win in the 4th game of the series in extra innings, enjoy!
HapsPhilly32 posted:@ MATTCHU - I agree... He always seems to get off to slow starts (in real life and in this game)... @ COLLINS: Amen to that, esp. after what the Cards did to my Phils in 2011 in the playoffs...
collins120607 posted:I love nothing more than watching the Cardinals get beat up.
Mattchu12 posted:Good to see Howard just beating the cover off that baseball. That's his pimp swing.
HapsPhilly32 posted:PHILLIES UPDATED: Another week into the books - and a good one at that - went 5-2, off to a 13-6 start (a lot better than I thought the Phils would be right now). Just about all of the sidebars are updated through the date in the league. Enjoy!
HapsPhilly32 posted:PHILLIES UPDATED: Major 4th inning offense leads to a relatively easy 10-6 win over the Mets. Now getting ready to take on the (surprising) 6-3 Marlins. Also - check out my roster if you get a chance - made up profile pics as I was inspired by Ggagnon (though they are not nearly the quality) - and am including stats and highlight videos and pics throughout the season. Enjoy!
HapsPhilly32 posted:@ Jakesparrow: Thanks on both counts! @ Brettl13: It's a scrolling command - basically, I just used the Custom HTML (WITHOUT the editor). Then, I put in followed by whatever headlines I want to type in (you can include pics too, as you can see) and end it with . It's kind of like a text type thing - but instead, you do text. That makes whatever you put in between the marquee commands scroll. I also made a table for the headline of Phillies News Flash. Hope that all makes sense...
Jakesparrow1008 posted:Loving this page so far. Also, I added you to my fan club.
Brettl13 posted:How do make the news flash?
Jakesparrow1008 posted:Man, I hate errors lol. Tough loss.
HapsPhilly32 posted:PHILLIES UPDATED: Lost a tough one to the Mets, mostly on the account of 2 errors by Rollins (oops)... Hoping to come back in the second game of the series now.
UNDERTAKER1215 posted:Ya, thats pretty much what I'm doing too, I just wanted to know what you were doing. Doing an update for each game takes too long, so once per series works out pretty good.
HapsPhilly32 posted:@ Undertaker - I'm trying to do an update (with a story) every series. I'll also do significant games and try to do at least 2 updates for division series. Or, if it's not a big series, I'll do one story updating all 3 games (like against the Padres or something like that). I was originally only going to do just one update for the Royals since the first game was the home opener - but since I had the walk-off HR in game 3, I decided to update that, too.
UNDERTAKER1215 posted:Are you doing an update per series or are you just doing an update for significant games or something?
Jakesparrow1008 posted:Awesome win! Great update too
HapsPhilly32 posted:PHILLIES UPDATED: Finished off the 1st home series of 2013 with a dramatic win - Michael Young 3-run bomb in the bottom of the 9th to walk off with the victory! Also updated almost everything on the page, at least for sidebars and stat tables - continuing to work on roster page as well...
HapsPhilly32 posted:@ GGagnon - Thanks man, one of the things I love about this game (and doing updates like this) is being able to grab those awesome shots. I'm hoping to find out what it looks like winning a playoff series (or maybe even the world series hehe). And yeah - I had 2 wildly different games - one where I walked 7 batters, the other where I managed to draw 7 walks... Not sure how I managed to do that, except to say that playing on RTTS and trying to draw a lot of walks gave me good practice. I've been mostly using TNK's sliders, which has CPU Pitcher Control - 4 CPU Pitcher Consistency - 3 CPU Strike Frequency - 3
ggagnon posted:That's a fantastic screen shot in your main page. Great timing.
